Meet Our Elders

Elders serve as spiritual leaders and overseers, guiding the congregation in matters of faith, doctrine, and church governance.

These elders work closely with the pastoral staff to provide spiritual direction,
counsel, and oversight, often making key decisions regarding church policies, disciplinary matters,
and overall vision. By embodying qualities such as wisdom, integrity, and a deep commitment to prayer,
elders play a crucial role in fostering the spiritual health and growth of the church community.
Their leadership helps to maintain unity and doctrinal soundness, enabling the church
to effectively carry out its mission of evangelism and discipleship.

    Jim Schluter

    Elder
    Serving FBI since 2020

Jim was raised in the Eau Gallie area by wonderful Christian parents. He and Kathy met at Eau Gallie High School, and married in 1978. Jim was a law enforcement officer, and worked in various locations and capacities for 32 years, retiring in 2010. They have followed Christ throughout their marriage, sometimes more closely than others.

We have received greater blessings and more strength to deal with challenges when we have maintained a closer walk with Christ than when we haven’t been following Christ as much as we should. I think you’ll find that to be true as well.
