Photo of Praying for D.R.

Yesterday morning, our Mission Team left for the Dominican Republic. I asked Will and Kelly Brannon for a list of specific ways we could be praying for them, as well as the people they’ll be serving. I’ve put their requests, along with some suggestions from Jen Abercrombie, in a daily format so we can be praying together as a faith family.

Sunday, March 12
Lord, after a full day of travel, provide our team with strength and energy for whatever You have in store for them today. Continue to keep them safe and focused on joining You at work.

Monday, March 13
Lord, today we ask for You to establish a partnership for us with the pregnancy center that is long-lasting. Open our hearts and our minds to see areas where we can help as this center seeks to serve these women and girls.

Tuesday, March 14
Holy Spirit, today we ask You to speak to the hearts and minds of the women and girls the pregnancy center longs to reach. We pray for our team as they encounter some of these ladies. Allow wisdom and love to permeate every conversation.

Wednesday, March 15
Father, today we ask you to work in the hearts and lives of the men in the area where our team is serving. Pull their hearts away from sin and selfish desires. Give our team the boldness to share the Gospel. And may it penetrate their hearts to the degree that they come to know you as Savior and Lord.

Thursday, March 16
Lord, in this area, there is also an opportunity to serve Haitian men who have come to the DR simply to find work. As they are often treated cruelly, particularly by police, give our team the opportunity to demonstrate Your love and compassion.

Friday, March 17
Father, we know you love children. Your Word is very clear on that. So today we ask that You would continue to provide Pastor Ramon and his family the resources they need to make an eternal difference in the lives of the boy and girls You send their way.

Saturday, March 18
Father, protect our team as they travel home today. Holy Spirit, give them Your sense of peace as they navigate flights, customs, driving, and everything else in between. Bring them safely home as we look forward to hearing all that You’ve done and begin praying about what You would have us do next.
