Photo of Nehemiah’s Wall to Brevard County

I can’t promise this is the last time you’re ever going to see this map but if you wouldn’t mind, indulge me this one more week…

When I first introduced this map several weeks ago, the picture that followed was a layout of Brevard County. And while I had selected both pictures and (felt like I) knew the point the Holy Spirit had in mind, I was blown away by the parallel between the two, the way our mission field seemingly fit perfectly with the layout of Nehemiah’s wall. And as I talked about the people coming to the temple – the little box in the upper middle section – and being trained and equipped and sent back out to accomplish their tasks in the areas and sections where they lived and worked and did life, I can still see myself staring at the screen starting to understand one more next step in the journey that God has us on, together, as a faith family.

That little box is incredibly important. And in the days ahead, we will begin giving some focused time and attention to it. But even more important than the little box are all the areas and, even more specifically, the people surrounding it.

In your heart and mind, transition with me from the map of Nehemiah’s wall to the map of Brevard County, more specifically, where you live (and work and do life) in Brevard County. As you picture that area where God has placed you and called you, I’d like to ask you to begin thinking about what you need to love, serve, and reach those around you with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Then, I’d like to ask you to mark your calendars (see the bottom of the back of the message notes insert). We want to hear from you as we continue to pray, think, and plan strategically about all God is leading us to do as we seek to join Him where He is at work.

We’re inviting you to join us – based on your area of Brevard County – at one of the days/times listed on the back of the message notes insert. A light lunch or breakfast will be provided in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you for continuing to be a faithful part of God at work in and through our Church Family!
