Next Sunday, September 8, we begin a new series of messages entitled FAITH/WORKS, a journey that will take us through the New Testament book of James. With that in mind, I would like to repeat a three-fold request I made last week during the message:
- Pray.
Would you begin praying this week, today even, for this particular journey for these messages for our Bible studies and small groups about what God has to say to us as a Church Family? About what God has to say to you specifically. About what God is calling you to do in your family, at your work, in our community, in our church.
Prayer is the Holy Spirit finding a desire in the heart of the Father, putting that desire in our hearts, and returning it to Him in the form of a request. – Dr. Adrian Rogers - Don’t come alone.
As much as is physically possible, be here. Invite family members. Ask a friend to join you. Reach out to a neighbor. Bring someone with you. Grab a coffee before or lunch after. But don’t come alone. And what might just be most important… - Expect God…
By faith. Praying about anything and everything. Living obediently.
Expect God to move… above and beyond all we ask or think.
