I’m especially grateful this morning to Zac, our Minister to Students, for wrapping up our series looking at John, The Baptizer. As he does so, allow me to reiterate one of my thoughts from last Sunday… If you would like to talk more about baptism, do not hesitate to let us know. God will use your testimony in incredible ways as He calls you to follow Him in that manner!
I’m also grateful this morning for the more than 125 servant-leaders that invested their time and energy into the hundreds of children that God entrusted us with this week during VBS. If this week is any indication of all that He wants to do in and through our Church Family this summer, I cannot help but be excited as we MOVE forward!
Today I have the privilege of being in New York City with a small group from our church family. My desire is for this to be the first of several trips in this direction as the purpose of our time here is focused on Brooklyn Tabernacle, and more specifically, their Tuesday Prayer Gatherings.
This morning, we’ll be worshipping with this wonderful church family, and Tuesday, participating in both of their corporate prayer meetings. In between, we’ll have the opportunity to talk with different staff and leadership to learn more about the role prayer has played in the life of their church family, both as a corporate body as well as individual Christ-followers.
Prayer
As Paul concludes his letter to the Ephesians, he does so by urging them to “take up the full armor of God” and then concludes the letter (right before his farewell) with an appeal to God’s people to pray… Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request… Church Family, in the days ahead I will be sharing more… a lot more!
I am both convicted and convinced that God is preparing us for something above and beyond anything we could ask or imagine. In that, I also firmly believe prayer is the conduit by which we are going to see Him move.
That said, will you pray with me?
